sal has been helping us cover a number of things. accidents and fires and how its effecting traffic this morning. >> yeah pam and dave. and i'm lookings at the general tone of the commute. for the most part it is good but we've had a couple issues. first we will go to the bay bridge toll plaza which is the workhorse of the bay area commute. you can see there is a little bit of a backup in some of the outside lanes. they are enjoying a good commute. you don't have to stop. but the metering lights will be turned on. and you can see this being filled in. and also the san mateo bridge is a decent option for you. you notice in my pictures you don't see a lot of fog and overcast so visibility will be good. we also have this crash northbound 680 in milpitas area before scott creek road. its right on the border between milpitas and fremont and causing a major slow down. beginning to effect some of the somebody traffic as they complete an investigation surrounding that crash. at 5:48 let's go to steve. >> thank you very much, sal. a very happ

it used to be the old christian science church. the fire didn't gut it but if we can move over to the left here and ban over it did gut the scanning center located at the back of this library where the two ladder trucks are. they is where they scan books and films to digitize them. th fire broke out at 3:30 this morning. 16 firefighter rest responded to this two alarm. that is because crews say it was roaring with flames shooting three stories high and 11 people who live next door above am chinese restaurant were evacuated. luckily no one was hurt. >> everybody is out quick. units on scene had an aggressive attack through the front door. we have units through the apartment building quickly to stop it from getting to the second floor. and the fire never did make it into the internet archive building. >> we spoke to the digital librarian he said some camera and lighting equipment was destroyed. >> we're going to have to rebuild the scanning center. we operate 30 scanning centers in eight centuries. so we are really sorry to lose this
